Getting Started with Competitor Analyzer

The idea with the Competitor Analyzer is to provide you with in-depth backlink profile analyses and comparisons in minutes – a process that would normally take you hours to do manually.

The Competitor Analyzer is highly focused on a specific set of related and similar keywords. This tool is developed to be very specific on a sub-page level and will not give you an overall, general view of your website.

The Competitor Analyzer will give you an understanding of what is needed to reach a top position on your specific keywords and it will compare you both to individual top-performers and give you an average of the highest ranking ones.

Add a Power Page #

A Power Page is normally a sub-page aiming to rank or already ranking on commercial keywords, also called “Money Page”.

When selecting “Competitor Analyzer” in the menu, above pop-up will appear. Click on the top-right icon “+ Add a PowerPage”.

Select Keywords and Markets #

In the next step, add a minimum of 3 keywords. These keywords should be the main keywords for the specific sub-page.

The Competitor Analyzer will automatically fetch more keywords based on the ones you picked and based on the sub-page. We do this to enhance the automatic anchor text classification and to provide a better comparision.

Please select the Main Market for your website as well. The main market is the market your choosen sub-page aims to rank on.

Select Competitors #

Based on the data you provided, the platform will fetch a live SERP (Search Engine Results Page) and you can pick one or more competitors.

It is recommended to pick a competitor similar to you. For example, we recommend you to:

  • Not select competitors that ranks with their home page / index page (unless you do it as well)
  • Not select large publications / parasite SEO pages (unless you are trying to rank for one yourself)
  • Not select EMD:s (Exact Match Domains), unless you are using an EMD yourself

Off-page SEO strategies do in general vary quite a lot for “standard SEO”, parasite SEO and Exact Match Domains. If you select websites with URL-structure and SEO tactics similar to yours, the result will be better.

The Data will be Fetched
